The Villages Vintage Car Show 02-17-10

Got up at the ass crack of dawn today to go meet some fellow MFMC club members to drive up to The Villages today. The Villages Vintage Car Club held their first "vintage Car Show" today, but all years were invited to attend. We all met for breakfast before the drive, then onto the highway with Vic in his 2007 Shelby in the lead, Me in my 2010 GT, Don & Marilyn in their 2008 Roush P-51A, and Jim in the back in his 2006 GT. The weather had it wrong, it was supposed to rain in the afternoon but it rained all morning instead. I had some luck on my side today, I won 3 raffle prizes, and one door prize. None of our cars won a trophy, but that's not really why we went anyway. It was a good day, with some pretty nice cars, and 4 good folks to enjoy it with...

23 Annual Mustang and Ford Round-up, 02-20-10.

The club I belong to held this show this past weekend, it was a great day and a great turnout. Over 300 cars and trucks were in attendance on this beautiful sunny 75 degree day. I volunteered to work in the club tent for most of the time, doing door prizes and also a raffle. I got away for a few minutes to walk around and see most of the cars, but was not able to take my usual 300 pictures I am famous for. You will all just have to settle for 115 or so...

Off to another show next weekend up at The Villages, but this one will be all sorts of cars, and my family may be going along for the ride too...

02-07-2010 Route 46 Cruise-In

On Sunday I traveled out to Sanford for the Route 46 Entertainment District monthly cruise-in. Because of the game the turnout was not as large as usual, however, there was still a good variety of cars and one motorcycle to see. The show was put on by The Orlando Bow-Tie Club and Central Florida Cruisers who hold regular cruise-ins around the area. There is always a little of everything at their shows, an absolute treat for someone who likes cars. I took a few photos on Sunday and they can all be found on Flickr by clicking HERE, here are a few to enjoy here:

Welcome!

In July of 2009 I purchased a Black 2010 Mustang GT Premium Convertible. In the binder I received to hold all my papers and such there was a card introducing me to the Mustang Club Of America. After some thought, and visiting a local chapter's meeting and cruise-in, I decided to join both the MCA and The Mid-Florida Mustang Club. I started attending club events and talking with other Mustang owners, and I got bit by the "cruiser bug". In October 2009 I attended my first judged car show in North Carolina, and won 1st place "LMA". I was hooked, and continued attending Mustang events, and started to become bored with just seeing the same types of cars (In fact, the SAME cars as well). This all changed when I attended the American Muscle Car Show, and saw many more types of cars. I realized that while I love owning and driving my Mustang, I love seeing other cars too. So I started attending cruise-ins that have a variety of cars. This will be a place to share my photos and notes of classic cars, street rods, late model muscle cars, and yes Mustangs too!

My Mustang, to be called "Beatrix" from this point on:
