Yesterday, after only 3 hours of sleep, I trekked out of the house to start a very long day of car shows. 2 shows in one day as a matter of fact, and what a perfectly nice day it was for a show or two. First up bright and early starting at 8am was the Apopka Assembly Of God's 5th Annual Car Show. On the way there I noticed a Mustang up the road a bit, thinking to myself "I know that car". It turned out to be Lori (the president of the MFMC), so it seemed to me she was also headed to the show. I got to the show and registered, then a few minutes later Lori showed up as well as Jim, in all there were 6 or 7 MFMC members in attendence. It was a little chilly at first, but warmed up quickly in the sun, gave me a chance to work on my sun glass tan a little bit. There were over 200 very nice cars out for the day, and quite a few Mustangs of different years. I love shows that have a good variety of different cars, especially Bel-Air's and GTO's. There were tons of trophies given out to exceptional cars, Lori and Jim both got one as well. My class was 2000 to present, and after hearing a bunch of cars in my class get a trophy including 2 2010 Camaros, I was starting to think: "Didn't they see my car?". Class winner plaques were after the trophies, and Lori said "May be your a class winner" but I didn't think so. They got to my class, and sure enough I was a class winner and beat those Camaros, a hard thing to do on that side of town from what I hear.
We left the show and headed over to Chick-fil-a for the "Driving For A Cure" a benefit car show to raise money for Relay For Life, Vic and Val met us there. It was a nice little turn out, not many cars, but they were all nice ones. Hung out at the show until it was over and my toes were frozen. Headed home tired and worn out from a great day hanging out with some good folks and great cars...
