My 2010 Mustang GT

As you all know I drive a Mustang, this car makes me feel like a little kid. I have, like most enthusiasts, a list of things that I want to do modification wise. There is, however, one thing that I am starting to get very impatient on, this item is a new muffler from Magnaflow. This will make "Beatrix" sound like the car she is meant to sound like. It would sound a lot like THIS, I about wet my pants when I heard that. The only problem is, I am not even close to the 1000 bucks I would need for parts and labor. So if anyone reading this wants to donate money to me to basically waste on a new muffler just to make me happy you may do so over the the right of the page. I will eventually get this, but my impatience is definitely getting the better of me...

Beatrix Hanging Out In The Front Yard

Timeless Wings And Wheels, March 20, 2010

On Saturday this past weekend I was joined by Jim, Val, and Vic on a trip up to New Smyrna Beach for a different kind of show at the airport there. It was a show for all makes of cars, though it was mostly Mustangs, and WWII airplanes. 3 P-51 Mustangs, and a remake of the same were their too. There were other planes as well, including a jet used by astronauts for training. It was a free show, but donations of pet food and donations for lunch were appreciated. Folks also had the opportunity to buy time and photos of their car with a P-51, I was broke so I only got some lunch. It was a great day, 71 and sunny, a little warm without shade (just a mental note if I go to this event again next year). I had hoped more people from the MFMC would be there, but there was a club event scheduled for the same day. I had to work in the evening so the car show was the only choice for me.

Hooters and Hotrods, March 14, 2010

On this past Sunday I decided to go over to Hooters in Sanford for the cruise in over there put on by Central Florida Cruisers and the Orlando Bow Tie Club. I figured it would be a nice day to check out some cars. Little did I know it was to be an absolutely gorgeous day, warm and sunny, many cars were in attendance. The last Hooters and Hotrods cruise in I went to was on a cold and dreary day and not even a fourth the cars in attendance. On Sunday there were Mustangs, Camaros, Bel Airs, a souped up Fairlane, A great Thunderbird, some Mini Coopers, a pair of white Corvettes, and even a Tractor along with many more varieties of classic and late model cars. I took well over 300 pictures, I just couldn't help myself, I really like taking pictures of cars.

2 In One Day

Yesterday, after only 3 hours of sleep, I trekked out of the house to start a very long day of car shows. 2 shows in one day as a matter of fact, and what a perfectly nice day it was for a show or two. First up bright and early starting at 8am was the Apopka Assembly Of God's 5th Annual Car Show. On the way there I noticed a Mustang up the road a bit, thinking to myself "I know that car". It turned out to be Lori (the president of the MFMC), so it seemed to me she was also headed to the show. I got to the show and registered, then a few minutes later Lori showed up as well as Jim, in all there were 6 or 7 MFMC members in attendence. It was a little chilly at first, but warmed up quickly in the sun, gave me a chance to work on my sun glass tan a little bit. There were over 200 very nice cars out for the day, and quite a few Mustangs of different years. I love shows that have a good variety of different cars, especially Bel-Air's and GTO's. There were tons of trophies given out to exceptional cars, Lori and Jim both got one as well. My class was 2000 to present, and after hearing a bunch of cars in my class get a trophy including 2 2010 Camaros, I was starting to think: "Didn't they see my car?". Class winner plaques were after the trophies, and Lori said "May be your a class winner" but I didn't think so. They got to my class, and sure enough I was a class winner and beat those Camaros, a hard thing to do on that side of town from what I hear.

We left the show and headed over to Chick-fil-a for the "Driving For A Cure" a benefit car show to raise money for Relay For Life, Vic and Val met us there. It was a nice little turn out, not many cars, but they were all nice ones. Hung out at the show until it was over and my toes were frozen. Headed home tired and worn out from a great day hanging out with some good folks and great cars...

MFMC's First Sunday Funday

Yesterday Beatrix and I went over to Kate O’Briens in Lake Mary for the Mid Florida Mustang Club's first ever "Sunday Funday" get together. It was a good time, most of the usual suspects were in attendance, and there was beer. The restaurant provided $1.00 hot dogs and $2.00 Hamburgers and other things as well. They had a DJ playing music for us, and a well stocked bar to get some adult beverages. My vote is that we should do this more often as a club, and perhaps invite other clubs to join us too. Get some cars out other than mustangs...
